There are also aficionados of the Motown music scene, which holds on to its roots while keeping up with all that is new and good.

Motor City has a lot to rev your engine during the spring, summer, and fall. It can get a bit chilly during the winter but don’t write off January, as that is when Cobo Hall holds its annual Detroit Auto Show -- displaying the new goodies for gearheads. If you are planning on this event, book well in advance as many out-of-towners descend on Detroit.
