British Columbia

British Columbia is one of the most beautiful provinces in Canada.

Be sure to tour Vancouver Island and make Campbell River one of your destinations. Be sure to stay at least five nights; you'll never run out of things to do and see.

British Columbia - Vancouver Island

Vancouver Island is the largest island off the west coast of North America so do not expect to see everything in one visit.

The best time to see some of nature's wonders is April for the 'Herring spawn' and October for the Pacific Salmon spawn.

Canada's west coast is a wonderful place to visit. Stay in Tofino or Ucluelet (on Vancouver Island) and soak in the wild, open Pacific. Long beach and the Pacific Rim Park are great for hikes, nature watching and surfing. World class restaurants, lodges and spas make this a destination for visitors from around the world.

British Columbia - Whale Watching off Vancouver Island

Whale-watching in Tofino, British Columbia is seasonal.

Your best chance to see the migration of more than 20,000 Gray whales is between the months of February to April. And, don't forget the Gravol. The seas can be quite rough that time of year.

Ontario

When visiting Ontario, be certain to pack comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots because within a very short time from Toronto (Canada's commercial centre) there is some of the world's longest hiking trails and breathtaking scenery for you to enjoy. Welcome to the Haliburton Highlands of Ontario.

Ottawa Transportation

If you would prefer not to spend money on taxi fare when you arrive at the Ottawa International Airport in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, you can board the # 97 bus, which will take you to the downtown core or as far west as Bayshore Shopping Centre, in Ottawa's west end. From there you can connect to other buses, if required. Check OC Transpo for information on bus routes and schedules.

The Diversity of Canada

Canada

Most people don't realise how massive Canada truly is. And because of our huge geographical and climatic differences we offer an equally wide range of activities and landscapes.

It might be cliché to say we offer everything to everyone, but Canada truly caters to a variety of traveller types.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there's heli-skiing, mountain climbing, sea kayaking, snowboarding, surfing, and so on.

For culture vultures, our cultural centres of Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax, Calgary (and others) offer a variety of theatre, museums, art galleries and shopping.

And if relaxing is your cup of tea, head to the Maritime cottages or the West Coast Islands, or any of the hundreds of lake-front properties in-between; for a summer so idyllic, you'll think it's the 1950s again.
