The county seat of Osceola County is Kissimmee.
Created in 1886, the county is named after the Indian leader,
Osceola; who was furious about the way the Seminoles were treated was determined to help

The first cattle to enter the North American continent traveled through the Kissimmee

City of Kissimmee:
The City of Kissimmee was originally a small trading post, on the northern bank of Lake
Tohopekaliga, known as the community of Allendale.
