If you grow tired of enjoying Hilton Head's 12 miles of beach, five-star restaurants and world class shopping the following suggestions may help you find alternative activties.

Daufuskie Island Historical/Cultural Tour

Fireworks at Shelter Cove

The Fireworks at Shelter Cove are held on Tuesday nights at 9pm during the summer, weather permitting.

Shelter Cove is off William Hilton Parkway, across from Palmetto Dunes, near the middle of Hilton Head Island.

HarbourFest runs every Tuesday night in the summer, with a special Independence Day HarbourFest celebration on July 4th. Activities run from 6pm to 9:30pm nightly.

Sea Pines EcoTours

Sea Pines offer more than a dozen EcoTours for all the family.

On the Forest Preserve Walking Tour (Tuesdays and Saturdays) you can visit the remains of a 4,000 year-old Indian village at the sacred Indian Shell Ring, where the native Americans who once occupied Hilton Head left a trace of their history intact.

Museum of Hilton Head

The Coastal Discovery Museum offers hands-on exploring of the history, wildlife, and heritage of Coastal Carolina.

Located at 100 William Hilton Parkway.

The Coastal Discovery Museum's Tours and Cruises Program is one of the most successful offerings of the Museum. Through nearly a dozen different experiences, participants can learn more about the ecology and history of the region.

Led by Museum curators and trained volunteers, the tours and cruises offered by the Museum leave participants with a better understanding of the need to preserve regional resources, including natural, cultural and historical features.
