        Paul II. The pope performed a beatification ceremony there as part of an 11-day Asian
        trip.

        visiting Newark, New York (addressing

        Paul II and President Clinton:Former First Lady Hillary Clinton and President Bill Clinton greeted the pope at an
        airport in Newark, N.J., on the start of his four-day visit to America.

        (on November 19th).The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. George Leonard Carey visited
        The Pope and The Church of Rome from December 3rd to December 6th; and the President of
        PLO and the Palestinian Authority, Yasser Arafat, arrived for an audience with John Paul
