The Long Island Rail Road holds the distinction of being the busiest railroad in North America. Individual station timetables give complete travel information for Penn Station, Flatbush Avenue (Brooklyn) and Jamaica.

Metro-North Railroad:
Metro-North goes to 119 stations in seven New York counties and two counties in Connecticut. Three lines operate out of Grand Central, New York, and two lines out of New Jersey Transit's terminal in Hoboken.

New York City Transit:
New York City Transit is one of the most extensive and complex public transportation systems in the world, operating 24-hour-a-day bus and subway service throughout the five boroughs.
