UK-based charter airline Air 2000 was founded in 1987 to serve Mediterranean resorts.

Rebranding in 1994 saw the parent company renamed First Choice Holidays, but by 2004 the party was over.

Air Afrique (RK)

Air Afrique

Air Afrique was a multi-national carrier based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, and served as the national airline for a number of Francophone countries in West Africa.

Operations ceased in January, 2002.

It is a subsidiary of the AirAsia Group and was established in 2006, initially operating as FlyAsian Express.

Established in 2002, as a joint venture between the Government of Kazakhstan's sovereign wealth fund, Samruk Kazyna, and BAE Systems, Air Astana operates from its main hubs in Almaty (ALA) and Nur-Sultan (TSE).
